    A Matter of Balance

Attention Seniors/Older Adults/Friends of Senior Citizens:

Have you turned down a chance to go out with family or friends because you were concerned about falling? Have you cut down on a favorite activity because you might fall?

If so, A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls is a program for you. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls, reduce the fear of falling, and increase activity levels among older adults. Participants learn to set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and learn simple exercises to increase strength and balance. The Program cost is $20.00. A workbook is provided and refreshments are served. Please call Laura at (612) 781-6011 to register or for more information.

    Wednesdays, 1:30 – 3:30PM, March 19 – May 5, 2014 @ East Side Neighborhood Services

This seminar will help you answer some of the following questions…

If something happened to you or your loved one yesterday, who would be responsible for carrying out the final arrangements today?

Would they know what you wanted?

Would they have the money readily available to pay for cemetery, funeral, and other related expenses?

Pre-planning for the inevitable will ease both the financial and emotional burdens on those we leave behind so they can focus on what's most important: celebrating you.

At this seminar, you'll learn the advantages of pre-arranging and the options available to you. You'll learn how to prepare for one of your family's most overwhelming days, create a plan that fits your specific needs and in doing so, protect the ones you love.

This is brought to you by Kara Kelley-Thorp, from Dignity Memorial 612-789-3596
