During each event, attendees will have an opportunity to get help with applications, hand their resumes to hiring managers, and ask questions about openings. Living Well with Chronic Conditions helps you discover healthier nutrition options and exercise choices; learn how to improve communication with your family and healthcare professionals concerning your health and well-being; find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue; and develop skills to get the support you need. This class meets two and a half hours once a week for six weeks.

Join us for Tooth Wisdom: Get Smart About Your Mouth, a free health education program that empowers older adults to improve oral health through daily self-care. Topics include: connection between oral health and overall health, proper tooth-brushing technique, flossing, mouthwash, how to take care of partials and dentures, cavities, gum disease, dry mouth and oral cancer. Maintain independence and improve balance! In this award winning workshop, participants will learn to view falls as controllable, make changes to reduce fall risk at home, set goals for increasing activity, and exercise to improve strength and balance. This four-week workshop meets twice a week for two hours.
This class will be held at the Magnet Senior Center, Westminster location, 1200 Marquette Ave, Mpls 55403 (free underground parking - entrance off Alice Rainville Place). Registration through East Side.
Come sample beer, snack on great food, listen to live music, play hammerschlagen, drink from a free tasting mug, and be part of the Nordeast craft brew community at this East Side event. All proceeds benefit the programs of East Side Neighborhood Services. Must be 21 years of age to attend.
