5K/10K snowshoe race begins at 9:30 am
5K dog walk begins at 10:00 am

Join us for the biggest snowshoe race in Minnesota!

The TCSS is a US Snowshoe Association sanctioned event and part of the Braveheart Series, a free series that allows racers to earn points and win free prizes. Awards and certificates are given to the top men and women finishers in each of 7 age categories, which are listed on the registration form. The race will be officially timed.

Not that serious? This event is fun for people of all ages and all abilities.

All proceeds benefit Camp Bovey, a summer camp program at East Side Neighborhood Services that helps youth build respect for the environment, for one another, and for themselves.

CANINES FOR CAMP: Since the Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle's inception, we have noticed an increasing turnout of racers with dogs. Racers will still be able to run or walk in the snowshoe race with their dogs, but we created a sub-event for dog lovers that is less competitive and more relaxing but still a great way to get exercise for owners and dogs during the cold winter months. Each participant will receive a gift bag with dog items as well as a race shirt.

    $35 before January 20

    $40 after January 20

    $20 for students ages 13-23

    $25 for dog walk

Registration allows you to participate in the race and includes chili lunch and an event shirt.

Snowshoes will be available for rental for $5.

ON RACE DAY: The race starts at 9:30am, but bib pick-up starts at 7:30am. We encourage you to arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to pick up your race number (and snowshoes if you are renting) and stretch and warm up before the race.

Register online or mail your form to East Side!

    kairos Alive! Intergenerational dance hall™

Join us for a free event for all ages and abilities, with live music, dancing, and storytelling!

The Kairos Alive! Intergenerational Dance Hall™ is a revival of the dance hall as the community intersection of artistic, physical and social involvement, designed for all ages and abilities. These intergenerational, intercultural events feature live music performed by professional musicians and participatory dance, story, and theater — intended to promote arts participation, health education, and personal and community well-being.

These dance parties provide opportunities for people ages 1-101 to share their creativity — no matter their abilities — with their peers, families, and friends in an inclusive and lively celebration. They are designed as a creative collaboration between participants and professional artists where the boundaries between performer and audience are dissolved.
