East Side Neighborhood Services will host the 2013 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, Thursday, December 12 at Shoreham Yards in Minneapolis. The donations from the event support the food shelves of East Side Neighborhood Services.
Since 1999, Holiday Train has been collecting monetary and food donations for local food shelves and raising awareness for the fight against hunger. At each stop, the 1000ft-long Holiday Train arrives decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights and holiday designs, a modified box car that has been turned into a stage, a line-up of great musical talent and a corporate contribution to a food bank in that area. This year’s performers will be The Claytones and Willy Porter.
This is a free, community event. Attendees are encouraged to bring a monetary or food donation for ESNS’ food shelves. The event will be held outdoors, so make sure to wear your warm winter clothing. Prior to the train’s arrival, there will be family activities and musical entertainment. This is the only stop in Minneapolis, so don’t miss out on the 2013 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train at Shoreham Yards!
Shoreham Yards is located at 2800 Central Avenue NE. For more information about the 2013 Holiday Train and to see how you can help, visit www.esns.org/events or call East Side Neighborhood Services at 612.781.6011.
