8th Annual Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle

Online registration closes on January 30th.
Registration forms can be downloaded and printed and brought to the park on race day.
In person registration, and bib pick up, can be done on Friday, February 1st from 5-7 p.m. at East Side Neighborhood Services, 1700 2nd Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
Race day registration will take place at Long Lake Regional Park starting at 8:00 a.m.
Snowshoes will be distributed at the park on race day to those who have reserved them.
We have secured a limited amount of additional snowshoes available on a first come first served basis.

Course conditions:
Snow conditions have dictated a change to the 10k course. The 5k course will still go along as planned, but the 10k course will double the 5k trail to complete the course.

Become a participant in the 8th Annual Twin Cities Snowshoe Shuffle race/walk event.  This certified 5k and 10k race is for all ages and all abilities. It is for those serious about racing, those looking for winter training and workout opportunities and those wanting to have a fun activity to do.  New this year we have added a Canines for Camp 2K Dog Walk! A Kid's Fun Run and activities will be set up for kids!

An early entry fee, before January 18, 2012, of $35 includes registration, a long sleeved knit shirt and a post event warm-up chili lunch.  After January 18, registration will be $40/person.  Snowshoes are available to rent for $5 and you may specify whether you need them or not on the registration form. $20 registration for students (ages 13-23). Dog Walk is $25/person.   • Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women finishers in each of 7 categories which are listed on the registration form. 
  • A United States Snowshoe Association regional qualifier event.

Post-Event Activities

Following the Race/Walk, a post event warm-up chili lunch
will be served at East Side Neighborhood Services, 1700 Second St. NE, Minneapolis.  Awards for participants and a silent auction will be held at the chili lunch.

Racing For a Great Community Cause

All proceeds from the race and silent auction will benefit Camp Bovey, East Side Neighborhood Services’ Summer Youth Camp, located in Gordon, Wisconsin.  Camp Bovey provides outdoor living and leadership development for children ages eight to 14.  Each entrant will assist in raising funds to provide camperships for children and youth to attend Camp Bovey.

The silent auction will be displayed for bidding at the chili lunch following the snowshoe race.  All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit children with financial needs to attend Camp Bovey, the summer resident camp of East Side Neighborhood Services.
