    Looking for a job in customer service, hospitality, or janitorial and maintenance work? Our on-site hiring events are just for you! During each event, attendees will have an opportunity to get help with applications, hand their resumes to hiring managers, and ask questions about openings.     Living Well with Chronic Conditions helps you discover healthier nutrition options and exercise choices; learn how to improve communication with your family and healthcare professionals concerning your health and well-being; find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue; and develop skills to get the support you need. This class meets two and a half hours once a week for six weeks.

    Are computers the worst part of your job search?

    Come to our basic computer skills classes at the Job Lab on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 am-noon.

    On Monday, a general workshop will include hands on assistance with any computer skills you are working on.

    On Wednesday, we will have three rotating classes available:

    Computer Basics

    • Mouse
    • Keyboard
    • Basic internet searches

    Microsoft Word Basics

    • Opening a document
    • Typing
    • Copying and Pasting
    • Changing the font and size of text
    • Saving and Save as

    Basic Email Course

    • Checking dierent folders
    • Opening emails
    • Sending emails
    • Replying, etc.
    • Attaching docs, etc.

    Join CP to celebrate the holidays with musical guests. Your cash or healthy food donations support local families in need. Pre arrival festivities begin at 7:00 pm, including music, bonfires, crafts and refreshments. The train arrives at 7:55 pm, with a special show from 8:15-8:45 pm.

    All donations benefit East Side Neighborhood Services' Metro Food Programs! The Metro Food Programs include: the High Rise Mobile Food Shelf, which brings food to residents of 46 buildings across Hennepin County; the Senior Food Shelf, serving over 1,000 older adults yearly; and the Glendale Food Shelf, which supplies a wide variety of culturally-specific foods that are staples to the diets of Glendale Townhomes community members.

    Become a Certified Nursing Assistant!

    East Side Neighborhood Services is beginning our FREE Nursing Assistant Plus Class in March! Participants will complete courses at Minneapolis College and East Side Neigh-borhood Services over 11 weeks. Classes are 4 days a week from 9am—3:30pm.

    Monday, January 14: 9-11 am
    Wednesday, January 16: 1-3 pm

    Tuesday, January 22: 9-11 am
    Thursday, January 24: 1-3 pm

    You will be asked to complete a TABE reading and math test at the information session, which usu-ally takes about an hour to complete.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • 8th Grade Reading and Math Level
    • Able to fully commit your time for 11 weeks
    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Able to work in the United States

    • A passion to help others!
